What is a flat pen?

A flat pen is a slim journal pen that clips on or stays inside your chosen journal with ease. 

It is the ink tube / ink insert from a pen converted into a handmade flat pen. Paper is wrapped around the ink cartridge and glued so it become a very flat pen which minimises any bulk when keeping the pen inside your journal.  The pens are sturdy and provide good hand holding surface and are surprisingly easy to write with. 

I've included a paper clip to most so the pen can slot right inside the front cover or use it as a bookmark.

What is a pen loop?

A pen loop is a pen holder to add into your book or journal to hold your pen. It slides on to a page (with paper clips) inside your chosen journal with ease so you can add your favourite pen to the side of your journal. 

I add one of these to all of my own journals and even sometimes several, so I have a few pens in different colours always available to write my notes. 

Made from cardstock that you would throw away ie from food boxes, tissue boxes and the like. Add some pretty papers, some scraps, a sticker or flower to decorate with elastic or sturdy lace as the loop to hold your pen.
